"feed me, I starve"

the best ever mussels

September was a great month for beach holidays, and I took a few. There was Camogli Italy, Skyros Greece, and Ibiza. I’ll publish more stories of my travels, but here’s a first for you. Truly truly the best ever mussels at Calle Gracionetta at the little shack on the beach. Garlic, , a ton of fresh tomatoes and secret ingredients indecipherable from Spanish… With a few friends, loads of and wine, and hot hot sun and sea, I was in heaven. But that’s not all…

Oh God, what are these wild little peppers called again?? Peppers Padron? Anyone, please comment if you know. Salty, oily and fresh all at the same time.

Perfect on the beach

The accompanying San Miguel, cold and more thirst quenching than I ever remember…

Can you believe the size of this fresh seafood and chicken Paella, and for three?? Yes we devoured this over lunch at Calle Sacaleta.

The closeup….

OMG! profiteroles like no other

Desert? Always. And these were truly the wildest intense Profiteroles at St Joan, a tiny basic restaurant in Ibiza town. We could not believe how light they were despite their intense appearance.

And a liqueur coffee that defies description. Great after a seafood meal, hot and sweet. Anyone know the name of this?

Ah! Thankyou Su-Lin! Yes there was the occasional kick-ass pimientos in the mix and they made me cry when they were that hot! So delicious!
Where did you have them?

Pimientos de Padrón – I love them and also had them for the first time in Ibizia. They sell them in Waitrose and I can rarely resist!
