Delicious! We went into the west end on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and, beginning to starve, stopped and had a cheap and wonderful Salt beef sandwich with mustard and pickles at Scott’s Sandwich Bar, 10 New Row, WC2N. That simple.
The best salt beef sandwiches are, in my humble opinion, in New York, but I was inspired to seek out the better places in London and put them on my todo list. I’m reliably told that the Nosh Bar in Soho is the place to go.
It’s the only London salt beef bar that uses a good, hefty rye bread that’s a pleasure to hold in your hands.
