Gory but gorgeous. Metal Chick 666, has a great website I found called Skulls and bacon. Yes, it’s true. She’s scoured the web for amazing skull cakes and I could not help but want to bring out my inner Goth and have a halloween party that might give me the chance to bake such a dark confection. Check them all out!
These are seriously wicked, moist, lush brownies that you have to make once before you die. I used Green and Blacks Organic 70% dark chocolate, dried sour cherries, and roughly chopped brazil nuts to get maximum intensity.
What a surprise to have the lovely Marion call today and suggest cake at the Orangery in Kensington Gardens. I haven’t been there for years, mainly due to the dreary long queues out the front door and lethargic service. Somehow, today it seemed time to try again, and we were not disappointed, despite the 30 minute wait for a table. This Caramel slice, Coffee and walnut cake, or Belgian Chocolate cake were my big decision….
No, you’re not dreaming, this truly divine little cupcake by KateDW look like a burger, but is actually sweet tiny perfect cake made using chocolate cupcake mix for the meat patty and vanilla for the seeded buns. Sacha found these on twitter and we just had to repost.
A couple of years ago, Lottie made a wonderful Pav and brought it to Sacha’s picnic birthday in Hyde Park. Everyone adored it. We photographed it and it lives here on the belly. But it was time to take the bull by the horns, interrogate her and get down to making my own. Lo and behold a Pav truly is as easy as Lottie says. I love the chewy soft foundation piled high with fresh cream and a ton of any fruit you so desire. I’ve got my hands on Lotties recipe, so read on! Read more…
As always Princess Lottie spoils Waynsey on a Sunday with some kinda awesome treat. This cupcake looks stunning and imagine that this is just a slice from a GIANT cupcake. OMG It must be heavenly. Hurrah Lottie!
“Coconut cake baked with a smattering of raspberries then coated in a vanilla cream cheese frosting. The base has been rolled in a mixture of toasted flaked coconut and almonds. Finally I sprinkled a little dessicated coconut on top for that extra flavour.”
At the Grocer on Elgin, the cupcakes are lush! Check out what more West London has to offer…
