Karen Martini is the visionary and much awarded chef behind Mr Wolf, a rustic Italian wood oven pizza restaurant on Inkerman St in St Kilda Melbourne. So many people had told me to go here that I didn’t just because. Well, that was just plain stupid, because the food here is so incredible. Pricey yes it is, but sometimes, just sometimes, it’s really worth it.
John’s Pizza, on Bleecker Street, serves the best pie in New York (that I’m aware of so far) but they don’t do slices so build up an appetite. The graffiti that covers the place is a happy testament to thousands of first dates.
Much has been written about Scotland’s mythical Deep-Fried Pizza, yet very little of it seems to be consistent. Is the pizza battered or just dropped in the fryer next to the battered fish and the flaccid chips?
